City Program, Event, Meeting Updates

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many scheduled City events have either been postponed or cancelled. Our top priority is maintaining the health and safety of our customers, staff, and the Golden Valley community. As the situation evolves, this page will have updated information on the status of closures, cancellations, and changes.

Following Minnesota Department of Health guidelines to help slow the spread of COVID-19, and in accordance with Governor Walz’s Executive Orders 20-20 and 20-08, the City of Golden Valley's indoor recreation facilities are closed until further notice. Several upcoming Parks and Recreation programs and classes are canceled indefinitely while others are proceeding virtually via VirtualREC. Learn more.

Due to concerns about the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, the City Council postponed the 2020 Pavement Management Program (PMP) project and associated special assessments.
