Employment Opportunities

Community Center Building Supervisors
Responsible for the supervision, facility set-up, and general operation of Brookview Community Center. Hours vary for evenings and weekends.
Music Instructors
Give private lessons on piano, guitar, or other instruments. Evening and weekend hours. Previous teaching experience necessary. Call 763-531-5198.
Program Instructors
The Parks & Recreation Department is always interested in talking to people who wish to teach a hobby, skill, art/craft, or specific class. Call 763-512-2345.
Youth Special Event Assistant
Assist with youth one-time special events at various times of the year. Must be at least 16 years old. Applications accepted year around.

Nerf Soccer Coach
Coach youth nerf soccer teams for elementary age children. Must be at least 16 years old and enjoy working with children. About three hours per week, March through April. Applications accepted starting in January.
Nerf Soccer Coordinator
Coordinate youth nerf soccer program in two elementary schools. Must be at least 16 years old and enjoy working with children. About three hours per week, March through April. Applications accepted starting in January.

Adult Softball Umpires
Must be USSSA certified. Season runs May 1 through early October.
Assistant Playground Leader
Assist playground leaders at City parks. Must be at least 16 years old. About 10 hours per week, mid-June through July. Applications accepted starting in January.
Athletic Instructor
Supervise and coach athletic programs at City parks. Must be at least 16 years old. About 35 hours per week, mid-June through July. Applications accepted starting in January.
Playground Leader
Plan, supervise, and coach athletic programs at City parks. Must be at least 16 years old. About 35 hours per week, mid-June through July. Applications accepted starting in January.
Softball Field Attendants
Set up bases, chalk fouls lines, operate scoreboards, lock and unlock building and parking lots. Season runs May 1 through early October. Hours of operation are evenings and a few weekends. Must be 16 years old. Applications accepted starting in January.
Tennis Instructor
Teach youth and adult lessons; coach youth tennis team. Knowledge of tennis required. Season runs mid-June through August. Hours of operation are weekdays and evenings. Applications accepted starting in January.

Adult Soccer Official
Should have soccer officiating experience and be familiar with adult soccer rules. Season runs September through October, four to 12 hours per week. Applications accepted starting in June.
Drama Coordinator
Direct and coach children for a drama production. Should have some experience in drama and music. Applications being accepted.
Drama Instructor
Assist Drama Coordinator with rehearsing and producing a children’s drama show. Should have some experience in drama and music. Applications being accepted.
Youth Soccer Coach
Season runs September through October, about two hours per week. Must be at least 16 years old. Applications being accepted.

Should be familiar with soccer rules. Season runs September through October, four to 12 hours per week. Must be at least 16 years old. Applications being accepted.

Adult Broomball Official
Officiate outdoor broomball games. Must know broomball rules; officiating experience desired. Season runs late December through mid-February, four to eight hours per week. Applications being accepted.
Youth Basketball Officials
Knowledge of basketball rules necessary; previous officiating experience helpful. Season runs January through March. Most games are on Saturday afternoons. Applications being accepted.
Youth Hockey Camp Coordinator
Instruct children and run scrimmages at an outdoor hockey camp. Must know the game of hockey and enjoy working with children. Meets Saturday mornings at Lions Park, January through mid-February, four to six hours per week. Minimum age is 16. Applications accepted starting in November.
Youth Hockey Camp Instructor
Assist Coordinator with outdoor hockey camp for young children. Must know game of hockey and enjoy working with children. Meets Saturday mornings at Lions Park, January through mid-February, four to six hours per week. Minimum age is 16. Applications accepted starting in November.
