Groups or organizations plan and coordinate activities to coincide with Make A Difference Day, which is held annually the last Saturday in October and is the largest national day of community service. The City of Golden Valley provides a list of these activities and contact information so volunteers can sign up to help out. Past activities included buckthorn busting in Brookview Park, a trash pick-up along Laurel Ave Ponds, and a birding seminar on chimney swifts.
