The Cities of Golden Valley and New Hope will host a kick-off event Thursday, March 1, for Open To Business, a free, one-stop program for small local businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs looking for one-on-one technical assistance. 
Sign Up For Use-Of-Force Seminar March 22

To help the public better understand police use of force, the Golden Valley Police Department will hold a class March 22 to clarify state law and explain and demonstrate how officers are trained. 
“Why Do Cops Have To Use Force” will be held from 6-9 pm at the Golden Valley Public Safety building, 7800 Golden Valley Rd. There is still time to sign up.

Wesley, Medley, and Hampshire skating rinks will open Feb 7 during scheduled hours. These rinks will remain open until the end of the season, weather permitting. The skating rinks at Scheid, Gearty, Lions, and Lakeview Parks are closed for the season.
