The movie “Sing” will be shown at Brookview Park this Thursday at 8:30 pm.
Crews will be paving the final layer (wear course) on Douglas Dr from Medicine Lake Rd to Duluth St until around 9:30 pm July 28. Lane restrictions are in place and traffic on Douglas Dr will be down to one lane in each direction in areas where paving will occur.
This week, the City of Golden Valley will finish pouring and paving sidewalks along Glenwood Ave (County Rd 40). Pavement and turf restorations along this area will continue through the middle of next week, and paving operations will begin Friday, July 28.
Four judges ranked Charles Ludwig’s “A Rough Day” as the overall 2017 Views of the Valley winner out of 52 entries. “A Rough Day” also won the People’s Choice award, marking the first time since 2007 that a photo won both the overall judges’ pick and the popular vote.
As the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) makes its way through surrounding cities, this summer the City of Golden Valley, with help from Hennepin County, will remove up to 70 ash trees along Winnetka Ave from Hwy 55 to 10th Ave N.
From Thurs, July 20, through Mon, July 24, all Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) locations will be closed or providing reduced services. Golden Valley’s DMV in City Hall will provide reduced services all three days.
On Fri, July 14, crews will begin milling Douglas Dr intersections at both Medicine Lake Rd (County Rd 70) and Duluth St in preparation for final paving from Medicine Lake Rd to Duluth St, and on Duluth St from Douglas Dr to Adair Ave. Road users will experience short-term lane restrictions when milling operations begin. Work is anticipated to last a day.
