The aging metal culverts that carry Bassett Creek under 10th Ave and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks are set for replacement starting late this month. The City has scheduled an informational open house Aug 22, from 5 to 7 pm, in the City Hall Council Chambers, to give residents and business owners the opportunity to ask questions regarding the schedule and impacts of the project. Southbound Winnetka Ave is closed from 10th Ave to Bassett Creek while City crews make emergency repairs to the storm sewer. The segment will remain closed until repairs are completed. Traffic will be detoured west on 10th Ave, south on Wisconsin Ave, and east on Golden Valley Rd (see map). Read More
