As the new Brookview Community Center takes shape, the existing Brookview building is set for demolition next month.

Construction is progressing steadily. Exterior cladding of the building is nearing completion. Site work on the east side is under way, with grading, retaining walls, and curb/gutter installation expected within the month.

Inside the building, crews are finishing the painting, ceiling tile, and flooring on Level 2. On Level 1, crews have completed sheetrocking and taping and are starting on interior finishes. Construction of the kid’s play structure is expected to be completed by Oct 1.

Phase three, which includes everything north of the new building to the old Par 3 building (demolished last month), will start Sept 17.

The existing building will be demolished on or around Oct 9.

Overall, the building is on schedule to be completed by December 2017. A grand opening event is set for Dec 1.

Final landscaping is scheduled for completion in spring 2018.
