Golden Valley Fire Helps Schools Conduct Fire Drills For The 29th Year

For the 29th year, Golden Valley Fire conducted fire drills it all city schools for National Fire Prevention Week.

On Oct 11, Golden Valley firefighters visited the Perpich Center For Arts Education, Breck, Good Shepherd School, King of Grace Lutheran Church and School, Sandburg Middle School, Highview Alternative School, Calvary Pre-K, SEA School, Love Works Academy, Noble Elementary, and Meadowbrook Elementary. For each school, a team of firefighters observed and offered feedback on performance. fire-fighters

“How we respond to emergencies has never been as important as it is today,” says Stephen Baker, battalion chief. “Our children’s safety is No. 1. Thank you to the  students who participated today.”

National Fire Prevention Week runs Oct 8 through 14.
