GVPD Is Taking Citizen Input About The Use of Body-Worn Video Cameras

The Golden Valley Police Department (GVPD) is hosting an open house Thursday, Dec 7, so citizens can learn more about the use of body-worn video cameras in police departments and provide feedback.

The GVPD has been testing body-worn video cameras since May 2017 to determine which ones work best, with the goal of having cameras in operation in early 2018. Part of the process is gathering citizen input.

The City is hosting an open house Thur, Dec 7, 6:30-8 pm, at the Golden Valley Police Department, 7700 Golden Valley Rd. Attendees will be able to view the cameras, ask questions, and provide feedback.

An online survey is also available until Dec 8, 2017.

Questions? Call the GVPD at 763-593-8079.
