At its Dec 6 meeting, the Golden Valley City Council unanimously adopted the City’s proposed 2017-2018 biennial budget and 2017 tax levy (payable 2017). The 2017 tax levy will be $21,531,403, a reduction of $131,700 from the preliminary levy of $21,663,103 adopted by the City Council Sept 20.

The 21th annual Run The Valley 5/10K Run and 5K Walk drew 440 participants April 11 to compete for medals and raise money for the Golden Valley Human Services Fund (GVHSF).
The City’s monthly financial reports, which outline monthly progress relative to the approved budget, are now available online in an easy-to-access format. While these reports have always been included in online City Council agenda packets, the new location enhances convenience for those who only want to see financial reports.
For the twenty-third consecutive year, the City of Golden Valley has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
