Winning Design Chosen For Golden Valley’s 125th Anniversary

The winners of the 125th Anniversary Logo contest have been chosen. Bill Collins of Golden Valley won the adult category (design below), and Oriana Freeman, a student at Robbinsdale Middle School, won the student category. 
Skating Rinks Closed For The Weekend

Due to the rain and forecasted snow, Golden Valley’s skating rinks are unusable and will be closed now through New Year’s Eve weekend. The New Year’s Eve party at Scheid Park is canceled. 
City Employees Going Casual For Charity

Many Golden Valley City employees are going casual this week. City staff will be allowed to dress down Monday, Dec 20, and Tuesday, Dec 21, in return for a $10 donation to two local charities.

The Golden Valley Bridge Builders will hold a quarterly meeting Saturday, Oct 23, from 10 am – noon, in the Community Room at the Golden Valley Byerly’s, 5725 Duluth St. The meeting is open to all Golden Valley residents or businesses interested in connecting with others to improve the community or share similar interests.
