<p>Theodore-Wirth  Park is a regional park that&#8217;s located primarily within the Golden Valley City limits.</p>
<p>The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has convened a Citizen Advisory Committee to review and prioritize needed improvements for Theodore Wirth Regional Park. Because of the scope of this project, CAC members would like to collect feedback from neighbors on their use and ideas of the northern area of the park that is used for trail, winter recreation and golf activities. <a href="http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/southwestwirth">Take the survey here. </a></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Spring has officially arrived. Brookview Golf Course is open! The 18-hole course and driving range opens April 7 at 10 am. The par 3 course will open Friday, April 8 at 8 am. <span id="more-830"></span></p>
<p>This year, take advantage of the new <a href="http://www.brookviewgolf.com/patron/index.html">patron program</a> discounts. Patron cards entitle the holder to a variety of discounts on green fees  and advance reservation privileges. They may be purchased by residents  or non-residents.</p>

<p>Set in the tranquility of Brookview Golf Course, <a href="http://www.goldenvalleymn.gov/recreation/brookview/">Brookview Community Center</a> (200 Brookview Parkway) offers space year-round for gatherings of up to 200 guests. Facilities include a large banquet room with neutral decor, a caterer&#8217;s kitchen, and a patio, deck, and gazebo that provide expansive golf course views. During colder months, the <a href="http://brookviewgolf.com/facilities/grill/rental.html">Brookview Grill</a> offers the same views and a warm, comfortable atmosphere for up to 60 people.</p>

<p>The picnic shelters at Brookview Park (southwest corner of Hwy 55 and Winnetka) are available through mid-April through the first week of October, from either 11 am to 4pm or 5 pm to dusk. Both shelters are easy walking distance to the playgrounds and sand volleyball courts. Brookview Parks&#8217; total capacity is 300.</p>
<p>Golden Valley residents, business, churches, or organizations may reserve picnic shelters now, and beginning Feb 10, anyone outside of Golden Valley may make reservations. <strong>Find out more about <a href="http://www.goldenvalleymn.gov/parks/brookview/shelters.php">Brookview Park&#8217;s picnic shelters</a>.</strong></p>
