The work also will save time and money later when a METRO Blue Line Extension light rail station is built at the intersection above the sewer’s present location.
Starting Oct 13 through Oct 17, crews on the 10th Ave culvert project will work 14-hour shifts, from approximately 8 am to 9 pm. The extended hours are necessary so crews can replace the culverts underneath the Union Pacific Railroad tracks during a scheduled rail outage planned to allow the work to be completed.
