Sochacki Park/Mary Hills/Rice Lake Nature Area Initiative

In an effort to provide more program opportunities to residents in inner-ring suburbs, Three Rivers Park Distrct is collaborating with the Cities of Robbinsdale and Golden Valley to identify potential capital projects, natural resource initiatives, and programming initiatives. One proposal explores possibilities in Sohacki Park (Robbinsdale) and the Mary Hills Rice Lake Nature Areas.

At joint public visioning session April 16, 2014, members of the public and the project team identified several ideas and themes to be considered moving forward. At a June 30 meeting, the public will have the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed recommendations for site amenities, strategies/action items and stewardship goals and objectives. In August or September, the Three Rivers Board and the City Councils of Robbinsdale and Golden Valley will review the conceptual plan and the proposed partnership.
