Writers' Workshop Classes

Charlene Torkelson is an author and illustrator with over 70 published books and articles. She will present four workshops. The Writers’ Workbook will be available for purchase in class for $10.

Bring Holiday Cheer home this season with a magnificent table centerpiece hand crafted by YOU! Join us to make your own centerpiece from winter greenery and other seasonal items. Participants must provide a vase or container; we will supply the

Sketching With Mixed Media

A class to review drawing techniques and apply a variety of “wet or dry” styles to enhance your sketches. We will combine pencil, pen, marker, with washes from watercolor, colored or aquarelle pencil, and crayon. Bring your supplies and a sketchbook to the first class. The Fascinating World of Balloon Art

Have you ever marveled at the skills of a balloon artist as he (she) created flowers, animals, magic swords, hats, etc.? Annette Fragale has been creating balloons figures at various events for over 25 years. She is presenting this workshop for adults and children 12 and over in this special one-time class. You will learn which products work best and where to find them. The basic twists and locks will be taught. You will soon be creating masterpieces! It’s lots of fun. There will be other surprises! Class materials are included in the fee. Annette is host of the popular award winning TV show, “The Magic Book Nook”.
