Mailbox To The North Pole

Brookview's Direct-to-the-North-Pole mailbox is ready and waiting for letters to Santa. Each evening, Santa's helpers check the mailbox and deliver the letters straight to the North Pole.

If you need a little help getting started, here is some special Santa letterhead:

Santa requests that each letter include the full name and address of each sender so he can reply.

After you complete your letter, drop if off at Brookview Community Center. Last day to drop off letters is Dec 19, 2014.

Old Log Theatre in Greenwood is proud to present A Charlie Brown Christmas. Join Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang as they await the arrival of the Great Pumpkin, enjoy a special Thanksgiving feast and search for the perfect tree for Snoopy at Christmas. This musical will warm the hearts of young and old during this holiday season. Tickets will be available in the lobby of the theater. Your own transportation must be provided.

Energize your minds using critical thinking skills such as observing, predicting and problem solving to maneuver balls through a series of challenges. This is a Minnesota Children’s Museum interactive, multi-sensory class which is sure to ignite imaginations and make learning fun! Instruction and all materials provided by the Museum. Registration deadline: December 8 at 12 PM.

Come experience a winter “getaway.” First we will take a fascinating journey from the coastline to the depths of the ocean at Sea Life Aquarium at the Mall of America. Discover a magical underwater world filled with a dazzling array of amazing creatures. You will also get to tour behind the scenes where you will see first hand how they care for over 10,000 animals. You’ll visit the food prep kitchen, laboratory and the top of the tanks! After Sea Life we will have lunch and a movie at New Hope Cinema Grill. After the movie there will be time to spend your own money on arcade games. Fee includes bus transportation, admissions, pizza, pop and supervision. Adult volunteer chaperones welcome. Resident fee applies to Golden Valley, Crystal, New Hope and Robbinsdale.

Harlem Globetrotters "Washington Generals Revenge Tour" at the Target Center

Supper With Santa

Run the Valley 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk

Run the Valley 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk

Plan now to join friends and neighbors for one of Golden Valley’s most popular events, the annual Run the Valley on Saturday, April 11, sponsored by the Golden Valley Human Services Fund.

Brookview Community Center will be race headquarters. The 10K race and 5K run and walk, will start and end at Brookview Community Center. NOTE: The 5K and 10K race will be chip-timed. Water stops and post-race complimentary snacks donated by area businesses.

Fee includes t-shirt, race number only and chip timing. Chip timing is not included in youth fee. To be eligible for medal, chip timing must be used. T-shirt sizes for all participants guaranteed if registered by March 1.

Kid’s “Fun” Run the Valley

Join us for the 2nd annual Fun Run for Kids! The course begins in the Driving Range parking lot and follows Field Drive to the Brookview parking lot for a total of .2 miles. The event is aimed at Kid’s age 2-8. Fee includes fun run number and participation ribbon. Parents may accompany little ones for free. Registrations are taken in person and by mail with check, cash or VISA/MasterCard at the Golden Valley Parks and Recreation office. Sorry - phone registrations are not accepted.
