Bike Rodeo
Thu, May 5
Ages 12 and under with adult
6–8 pm | Golden Valley City Hall
We want kids and families to ride their bikes as much and as safely as possible. Youth riders will have the opportunity to get helmets properly fitted, navigate a safety skills course, use bike check-ups, enjoy refreshments, and enter a drawing to win a new bike. Police and Fire personnel will be in attendance to oversee activities.

A wide variety of trucks and cars will be on display for you and your child to explore and see up close. Remember to bring your camera! A free-will donation of non-perishable food for the local food shelf will be collected at the event.

Playground Adventure Van
Ages 6–12 | Free
We're bringing the Summer Playground FUN to you! Our entertaining staff will lead themed playground games, crafts, and activities in the park during advertised times. This is a drop-in program that allows children to come and go at their discretion.
Parents/guardians are encouraged to set boundaries and communicate limits with their children before they attend the program.

It’s back! Celebrate the legendary US Open with a round at Brookiew’s Par 3 Course, featuring special flags and enlarged cups specifically designed for this family event. Adults caddie for your little champions, and make sure to get a photo with the Champions Cup next to the leaderboard after a great round.
Clubs will be provided upon request, and all golfers must preregister. Prizes awarded for the best dressed groups, and food specials available at Three One Six Bar + Grill.

Enjoy a morning in the park featuring storytelling designed to delight, inspire, and trigger the imagination of all who listen. These events bring stories and books alive with a unique blend of storytelling by Princess Party Pals. Four performances are offered throughout the summer in the cities of Golden Valley, Crystal, New Hope, and Robbinsdale.

Mighty Mites Triathlon
Ages 2 ½–5 | $10 res, $12 non-res
Preschool triathletes will bike through Brookview Park, run the race course, and end with a splash! This event will have preassigned heats based on ages and feature a DJ. Participants must provide their own riding machine and helmet and must be accompanied by an adult throughout the course. Participants will be notified of exact start times one week prior and receive a medal at the completion of the course. Bring the family to help cheer on your triathlete!
