Republic Services has once again reported to the City of Golden Valley that many of the organics recycling loads picked up at the end of February were contaminated primarily with non-compostable plastic bags, bottles, and cans. Residents are strongly encouraged to think twice before putting waste in garbage, recycling, and organics recycling bins.
Food scraps, soiled paper, and compostable products can all be put in organics recycling. Click to see the full list.
Newspaper, washed glass/plastic bottles and can, cardboard, and junk mail can all be put in traditional recycling. Click to see the full list.
Diapers, Styrofoam, plastic bags, animal waste, and medical waste can be put in a garbage can.
