Golden Valley residents can purchase rain barrels at a discounted rate through the Recycling Association of Minnesota (RAM) while supplies last. Barrels can be purchased on the RAM website with promotional code GVALLEY.
In November 2021, the Golden Valley City Council passed an agreement with RAM for the City to cover 25 percent of rain barrels purchased by residents. Rain barrels are typically $90 and with the discount are now $67.50. There is a limit of one per household. For the promotional code to work properly, a valid Golden Valley address must be used.
Barrels are expected to be delivered early May.
