Kids ages 12 and under are encouraged to bring their bikes out to the annual Bike Rodeo May 5, from 6–8 pm, at Golden Valley City Hall, 7800 Golden Valley Rd. Community members can also participate virtually this year.
The Bike Rodeo educates kids about bike safety and introduces them to local law enforcement in a fun environment. Participants try out their biking skills on an obstacle course while experts teach hand signals and fix mechanical problems with bikes and helmets. No registration is required.
More information about the virtual event will be posted on the City of Golden Valley website May 2.
This event is organized by the Parks and Recreation and Police Departments of Crystal, Golden Valley, New Hope, and Robbinsdale, as well as Golden Valley Fire and West Metro Fire.
