Based on a recent community survey, 45 percent of respondents said they were unfamiliar with the topic of environmental justice. Lucky for them, the City's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission is hosting a Building An Equitable Golden Valley forum on just that topic May 19, 6 pm at City Hall and online via Cisco Webex.
The program, Environmental Equity: Identifying Inequities in Green Infrastructure/Amenities, will cover environmental justice, how it affects Minnesotans and Golden Valley residents, and what the State and City are doing to address it. Forum attendees will be able to take home a free Meyer Spruce and Black Hills Spruce tree seedling.
For more information about the forum and other BAEGV events, visit the DEI page on the City website.
