The Golden Valley Police Department (GVPD) is investigating a robbery that occurred Saturday, Aug 26, 2023 at a residence in the 6300 block of Medicine Lake Rd in Golden Valley. When officers responded at 10:41 pm, the victims reported they had been bound by at least three suspects who were armed and wearing ski masks.
According to Golden Valley Police Chief Virgil Green, one of the victims reported the suspects were let into the home by someone inside who was identified as a relative of the homeowner. After forcing the victims into the kitchen and binding their hands, legs, and mouths with duct tape, the suspects stole jewelry, gaming systems, several high-dollar purses, and eight American Bully Merle puppies (three males and five females) valued between $5,000-$10,000 each. The suspects also stole a 2019 Dodge Challenger.
In total, the suspects stole more than $100,000 worth of valuables from the home, added Green.
“This was an isolated incident, and we know based upon our initial investigation and talking with the victims these suspects had help from a family member,” said Green. “They knew exactly what they were looking for when they entered the home.”
“We are confident the information we have about the suspects will lead to the arrest of those involved,” said Green.
