Today, Breck School reported an alleged safety threat made via social media to the Golden Valley Police Department (GVPD). Police Chief Virgil Green states that there is “currently no threat posed to students, staff, or the campus.” The GVPD is actively working in collaboration with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department to address the issue and ensure the safety of all individuals on campus.
Green emphasized that the priority is to maintain the safety and wellbeing of all students, staff, and community members. “We have taken swift action to investigate the incident and implement appropriate measures to maintain a secure environment,” said Green. “We would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals to the appropriate authorities.”
