Eviction Moratorium

The CDC issued a new order temporarily halting evictions in counties with substantial and high levels of community transmission in order to respond to recent, unexpected developments in the trajectory of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the rise of the Delta variant. RentHelpMN

Renters living in Minnesota who need assistance to pay rent and utility bills and landlords/property owners who have tenants who are behind on rent can apply for RentHelpMN at www.renthelpmn.org or by calling 211.

The Zero Balance Project

Rental property owners and managers may lead the application process for COVID-19 emergency rent assistance when the renter has not already submitted an application to RentHelpMN. www.housinglink.org/List/emergency-rental-assistance

Additional Resources For Renters

The eviction moratorium phase out law protects eligible tenants that have applied for rent assistance from eviction until June 1, 2022.
