Ramp From Eastbound I-394 to Xenia Ave Closes Oct 13

On Oct 13, 2010, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) closed the ramp from eastbound I-394 to Xenia Ave/Park Place Blvd/Hwy 100 as part of a  project to create separate exit ramps for Hwy 100 and Xenia Ave/Park Place Blvd.

According to MnDOT, the ramp will remain closed until Nov 9; the entire project will be completed Nov 17, dependent on weather and other unforeseen circumstances.

The detour route for the Xenia Ave exit will be Louisiana Ave north to Laurel Ave, east on Laurel Ave to Xenia Ave, then south on Xenia Ave. Traffic entering eastbound I-394 from Xenia Ave will still be allowed as usual.

Previously, traffic exiting to either Xenia Ave/Park Place Blvd or Hwy 100 had to exit at the same location just west of the railroad bridge. The construction project will separate the two exits by creating a new exit ramp to Hwy 100 that begins under the railroad bridge at the current lane drop on I‑394. New signage will also be installed in both directions on I-394 to reflect the changes.
