Fix-It Clinic Offers Alternative To Trashing or Recycling Broken Items

Do you have broken household goods or clothing in need of repair? Bring them to Hennepin County’s inaugural Fix-It Clinic Sept 15, from 1 – 5 pm, at Washburn Library in Minneapolis, where volunteers will help you get them back in working order.

The Fix-It Clinic, like others held around the world, aims to reduce the amount of stuff that gets thrown in the trash, teach valuable troubleshooting and basic repair skills, and build community connections.

Volunteer fixers are the heart of Fix-It Clinics. They bring skills and expertise and have a strong desire to teach and empower people. If you have skills in soldering, electronics/electrical repair, sewing, wood working, small engine repair, and general tinkering, consider being a Fix-It volunteer.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Nancy Lo at or 612-348-9195.
