Monthly City Financial Reports Available Online

The City’s monthly financial reports, which outline monthly progress relative to the approved budget, are now available online in an easy-to-access format. While these reports have always been included in online City Council agenda packets, the new location enhances convenience for those who only want to see financial reports.

Other financial documents online include:

  • the City Budget, which is the financial plan for the City for the upcoming two years
  • the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), which outlines scheduled expenditures for the upcoming five years for major purchases and/or construction projects that cannot be financed in one year because of their cost
  • the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), which is an audited financial statement of the previous year and required by the State of Minnesota

All City financial documents are reviewed by Moody’s Investor Services for Golden Valley’s Aaa bond rating, which is the highest available.
