GVPD Seeks Information On Two Unsolved Homicides

The Golden Valley Police Department is seeking information on two related, unsolved homicides that occurred in August 1995 and February 1996. These murders appear to have been random acts and evidence links them together.

The first victim, Loren Busse, was shot to death August 30, 1995, while biking home from work around 10:30 pm. His body was found near the intersection of Mendelssohn Ave N and Plymouth Ave. The second victim, Daniel Neus, was walking his dog in the 3300 block of Major Ave N when he was fatally shot about 11:55 pm Feb 6, 1996.

Almost two decades have passed since these tragic and senseless crimes, with no justice for the victims and no resolution for their families. The Golden Valley Police Department, in conjunction with the Golden Valley Crime Prevention Fund, is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person(s) responsible for these crimes.

Anyone with information about the individual(s) responsible can call the Golden Valley Police Department Tip Line at 763-512-2500 or Crime Stoppers at 651-452-7463. Callers can remain anonymous.
