City’s Temporary Tree Debris Drop Off Site Re-Opens For One Day Only Aug 3

The City of Golden Valley is re-opening its temporary tree debris drop off site for one day only, Saturday, Aug 3, from 9 am to 5 pm. The site is located at 9305 10th Ave (south side of the street).

10th Ave Tree Debris Drop-Off_SiteThe site is open to Golden Valley residents and businesses with a valid ID and proof of address as well as tree contractors who can identify the Golden Valley address from which their tree debris was taken. Logs and brush up to 12 feet long will be accepted (no stumps, mulch, or leaves not attached to branches).

The City initially opened the temporary tree debris drop off site  from June 26 to July 3 to help residents dispose of tree debris left in the wake of the storms that hit Golden Valley June 20-22.

Ash Wood Disposal

Federal quarantine requires all ash wood be taken to designated disposal sites (like Golden Valley’s temporary drop off site). All ash wood  and firewood (lengths less than four feet long) made from any hardwood (deciduous) species cannot be moved out of Hennepin County.
