The intersection at Hwy 55 and General Mills Blvd/Boone Ave in Golden Valley was shut down for several hours today after a fatal collision between a semi-truck and a minivan. The crash caused extensive damage to the traffic control system, and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is developing a plan for permanent repairs to the signal system.
