Two Public Meetings Scheduled For Comment On Bottineau Transitway Draft Environmental Impact Statement

The Bottineau Light Rail Transitway Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) is the topic of two upcoming public meetings at Golden Valley City Hall, 7800 Golden Valley Rd. The first is a public open house followed by a formal public hearing hosted by the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) on May 7 . The second is a formal public hearing hosted jointly by the Golden Valley Planning, Open Space and Recreation, and Environmental Commissions on May 15.

Both meetings will provide an opportunity for residents to comment on the Bottineau Transitway DEIS. The DEIS documents the purpose and need for the project, the alternatives considered, addresses the anticipated impacts of the line, and defines mitigation measures. The entire DEIS document is available for review here. Hard copies are also available for review at Golden Valley City Hall and the Golden Valley Library.

Comments on the DEIS document will be accepted through May 29, 2014.
