Golden Valley Voter Turnout Tops 67 Percent

Golden Valley had a 67.83 percent voter turnout for the Nov 4 election.

general-chart-2014Golden Valley had 14,349 registered voters as the polls opened, with 530 registering that day and 64 registering absentee, for a total of 14,943 registered voters.

A total of 8,664 ballots were cast at eight polling places throughout the city. An additional 1,472 citizens voted absentee, for a grand total of 10,136 ballots cast. See the table below for a breakdown by precinct.

“Thanks to our election judges and precinct captains, who put in long hours to help the process run smoothly,” says Kris Luedke, city clerk.
