Fix-It Clinic Coming To Brookview Dec 14

Do you have broken household goods, appliances, or clothing in need of repair? Bring them to the Hennepin County Fix-It Clinic Sunday, Dec 14, noon-4 pm, at Brookview Community Center, 200 Brookview Parkway, Golden Valley.

Volunteer fixers will be on hand to help you repair your items. Items for repair must be carry-in (no oversized items). Please bring any tools and supplies that might be helpful. All items will be handled first come, first served.

Fix-It Clinics aim to reduce the amount of stuff that gets thrown in the trash, teach valuable troubleshooting and basic repair skills, and build community connections.

Volunteers fixers bring skills and expertise to the clinics, along with a strong desire to teach and empower people. More volunteers are needed to help others learn to repair their items. If you have skills in soldering, electronics/electrical repair, sewing, wood working, small engine repair, and general tinkering, consider being a Fix-It volunteer.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Nancy Lo at nancy.lo@co.hennepin.mn.us or 612-348-9195. Or, check out the Fix-It Clinic Facebook event page.
