Run The Valley Is April 11

Get in gear and Run the Valley Sat, April 11, to help raise money for the Golden Valley Human Services Fund. One hundred percent of the proceeds are allocated to non-profit organizations that serve Golden Valley residents in need.

 

The event begins at 8 am for the 10K run, 8:10 am for the 5K run, and 8:15 am for the 5K walk (5K and 10K races will be chip-timed). The .2-mile Kids Fun Run for youth ages 2–12 starts at 7:45 am ($5 fee includes Fun Run number and participation ribbon; parents may accompany little ones for free). Race headquarters will be Brookview Community Center, 200 Brookview Parkway S, Golden Valley. The certified course runs through residential Golden Valley.

Register in person or online at www.active.com or www.zapevent.com (additional fee applies) by April 9 for a discounted fee. Children 12 and under may register for $20 when accompanied by an adult.  Register between 7 and 7:45 am on day of race for $40. Water stops and post-race complimentary snacks are donated by area businesses. For 2015, corporate sponsors are Bassett Creek Dental, City of Golden Valley, Liberty Carton, and Park Nicollet.
