Eastbound I-394 Lanes Between Hwy 100 And I-94 To Close July 31

Beginning at 10 pm Friday, July 31, MnDOT construction crews will close the mainline lanes on eastbound I-394 between Hwy 100 and I-94, shifting all eastbound I-394 traffic to the two HOV/Reversible Lanes. The closure will last approximately two weeks. Motorists should expect significant delays during the morning and evening rush hours and plan accordingly.

Several ramps will also close:

  • eastbound I-394 to Penn Ave
  • Penn Ave to eastbound I-394
  • northbound Hwy 100 to eastbound I-394
  • southbound Hwy 100 to eastbound I-394 will use the HOV ramp/lanes

Construction crews will continue working on south Wayzata Bvd between Penn Ave and France Ave, which will remain open for traffic, but motorists should plan for delays and periodic traffic stops.

Motorists are reminded that Lyndale Ave over Dunwoody Blvd/Hennepin Ave will remain closed until fall. Motorists are detoured to Dunwoody Blvd to access westbound I-394 and to Hennepin Ave, 11th St, and Linden Ave to bypass the closure and continue traveling on Lyndale Ave.
