Section Of Cedar Lake Parkway South Of I-394 Will Close Oct 19
September 29, 2015
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board announced today that a section of Cedar Lake Parkway will close Oct 19 for scheduled road maintenance. The road closure extends south from I-394 just past the bridge over the channel connecting Cedar and Brownie Lake. Work is expected to wrap up by Oct 28.
The project involves removing up to 10 inches of pavement and base material from curb to curb and installing new asphalt. Safety concerns created by the road reconstruction will keep this section of parkway closed to all motorized traffic until work is completed. Sidewalks and trails will remain open on the west side of the parkway.
The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board appreciates parkway users’ patience during the closure. For more information and a map of the road closure, visit the project page on the City of Minneapolis website.
