Starting Nov 30, track speed on the Canadian Pacific (CP) railroad spur through Golden Valley will rise from 10 to 20 mph. This change applies to the north-south CP route between Hwy 100 and Winnetka Ave N, and the speed change will apply to the route from 49th Ave N in New Hope to Golden Hills Dr in Golden Valley. Last week the Golden Valley City Council directed City staff to move forward on a proposed design plan for a new Brookview Community Center, with construction set to begin October 2016 and be completed in fall 2017. Read More
