Submit Your Views Of The Valley Photos By June 10

The deadline to enter the 24th annual Views of the Valley photo contest is June 10. This year’s contest will feature two new entry categories and one old one. Photos must be taken in Golden Valley.

  • Natural Golden Valley (landscapes, animals, flora, etc)
  • People, Events, & Urban Scenes (residents, interactions, activities, cityscapes, etc)
  • Art & Design (shots focusing on structural design, man-made beauty and art, highly artistic shots of everyday things, and photos significantly altered by editing software, etc)

Residents can submit up to three 5×7 color or black-and-white photo finish prints (no slides, photocopies, or prints not on photo-quality paper). Digital files are appreciated but must be accompanied by a 5×7 print on photo-quality paper. Do not mat or frame photos.

Winning entries are published in CityNews and the City website. First prize winners in each category receive $50; grand prize is an additional $50. The People’s Choice winner will receive $25. Winners will be notified in early July.

Public voting for the People’s Choice award will take place June 13–24 at City Hall here.

To enter, attach a completed entry form to each photo and mail or drop off at Golden Valley City Hall before 4:30 pm on June 10.
