Check Out These Upcoming Spring Recreation Programs: Wiff-O-Ball And Flight/Drone Club

Starting this April, Golden Valley Parks and Recreation will offer a Flight/Drones Club program for kids in grades 5-8 and after school Wiff-O-Ball for kids ages 8-12. To register, click here.

Learn basic flying techniques and gets hands-on with flying a drone/quadcopter. Fly through obstacles to challenge yourself with controlling and maneuvering the drone. Learn about safety, FAA, and local regulations as well as device maintenance. Drones/quadcopters and transmitters will be supplied for each student for use during this course. Instruction provided by Midwest Drone Racing.

If you’re looking for a little “spring training” for those Little Leaguers in your house, check out after school Wiff-O-Ball. This program will meet at Davis Community Center and play games outside on the open field across the street. Bats, balls, and supervision provided.
