Over the next six weeks, crews will begin wrapping up construction in key areas of the Douglas Dr (County Rd 102) reconstruction project. Crews will continue to work hard to get Douglas Dr fully reopened between Duluth St (County Rd 66) and Hwy 55. Eligible voters will place their ballots directly into a ballot counter when voting in person at City Hall Oct 31-Nov 6. Voting machines will record votes as they are turned in but will not report results until after polls close on Election Day, Nov 7.

Starting Oct 30, Hwy 55 just east of Golden Valley between Van White Memorial Blvd and West Lyndale Ave will be closed for about two weeks to replace a structurally deficient storm sewer. The work also will save time and money later when a METRO Blue Line Extension light rail station is built at the intersection above the sewer’s present location.
