The Golden Valley Fire Department wants to ensure all residents are taking the proper steps to stay safe this summer.
In the past few weeks the City has slowly expanded its use of social media in hopes of better communication with Golden Valley residents and the surrounding communities. The next part of this expansion is the creation of a Twitter account for the Golden Valley Fire Department.
The bridge that carries the Bassett Creek Trail between Crystal and Golden Valley is set to be closed the week of June 25 due to construction. Work is scheduled to last about a month and the bridge is expected to reopen by Aug 31.
There are two more opportunities for residents to learn more about becoming a paid on-call firefighter before applications close on July 8. Two recruitment meetings will take place at Fire Station 1, 7800 Golden Valley Rd, on June 28 at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm.
