New road closures have been announced for the CenterPoint Energy Belt Line Project along Golden Valley Rd, as well as for a City of Plymouth street project affecting the 26th Ave ramps to and from Hwy 169.

CenterPoint Energy Belt Line Project

Work is progressing on CenterPoint Energy’s Golden Valley Road 2018 Belt Line Project, with 16 percent of the natural gas pipeline installed. Crews have opened the full closure of Theodore Wirth Parkway at Zenith Ave. Closures over the next few weeks include:

  • Glenwood Parkway at Golden Valley Rd, starting Monday, June 11. Detour signs are posted on site. This closure will remain in effect until within the week of June 18.
  • Golden Valley Rd from Pennsylvania Ave N to Idaho Ave N, starting Thursday, June 14, to within the week of July 9. This area will be closed to through traffic. Pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be detoured to Hwy 55 via Douglas Dr and Rhode Island Ave N. Flaggers will be on site to help direct traffic.

Hwy 169/26th Ave Ramp Closure

The City of Plymouth is reconstructing streets in the Kilmer Park neighborhood north of 26th Ave and west of Hwy 169. To facilitate construction of this project, the southbound Hwy 169 exit ramp onto 26th Ave and the southbound Hwy 169 entrance ramp will be closed for roughly one month starting June 11. There will also be intermittent closures of 26th Ave at Kilmer Lane while crews work in the intersection. Detour routes will be posted.
