Have Coffee With A Cop Sept 18

Stop by Covenant Village (5800 St Croix Ave N) Tues, Sept 18, 9 am-11 am for coffee and conversation with officers from the Golden Valley Police Department (GVPD).

Coffee With A Cop is a community outreach program that encourages citizens to become familiar with the officers who serve their community, ask questions, and express concerns.

There will be no formal presentations—residents are invited to drop in any time during the two-hour gathering to chat with an officer and other staff. Community members can discuss and learn about neighborhood issues, traffic concerns, crime prevention, and how to connect with the GVPD through social media and other tools.

Medication Drop-Off

This Coffee With A Cop will also offer an opportunity for attendees to safely dispose of any unused medicines, free of charge. Proper disposal of medicines helps prevent abuse and poisoning and protects the environment.

Medicines accepted will include prescription medicines, controlled substances, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements, and pet medicines. No syringes, sharps, or other medical waste will be accepted.

The GVPD also has a medicine drop-off in the Police Department lobby at 7700 Golden Valley Rd. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and remains under constant surveillance.

For more information about Coffee With A Cop and the GVPD Medicine Drop-Off, visit the City website or contact the GVPD directly at 763-593-8079.
