The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Is Returning To Golden Valley

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will make a stop in Golden Valley Tue, Dec 11, at 4:50 pm. The free event is great for all ages and will support PRISM, Golden Valley’s local food shelf. Attendees are encouraged to bring healthy food donations.

The 1,000-foot Holiday Train, decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights and holiday designs, will roll into the railway crossing at Golden Hills Dr at 4:50 pm. Come early as festivities are scheduled to begin at 4:15 pm and enjoy warm beverages, food trucks, games, and activities.

Upon arrival, a stage door lowers for a musical performance by The Trews and Willy Porter, and a brief presentation with local dignitaries and food bank representatives. After 30 minutes, the boxcar door closes and the train moves on to the next stop.

Parking will be available in the Allianz and Colonnade ramps. Please plan to arrive on time, as heavy traffic is expected, and dress accordingly for the weather.

Food Shelf Donations

Donations of healthy food options are encouraged (see CP’s Healthy Donations suggestions). It’s also a good idea to check with PRISM regarding its specific needs. Representatives onsite will collect both food and monetary donations. Every dollar and pound of food collected at this free event will help feed the 5,000+ children and adults who come to PRISM each year.
