City Council Approves Goose And Turkey Management Plans

At its Jan 2 meeting, the City Council approved the Goose Management Plan (GMP) and Turkey Management Plan (TMP) proposed by the City’s Open Space and Recreation Commission (OSRC). Both plans are expected to be implemented before the end of 2019.

In Sept 2018, with guidance from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR), the City developed the TMP and GMP in hopes of addressing public safety concerns and community nuisance issues.

The OSRC held a public feedback period in November and hosted a final document review at its Nov 26 meeting.
