Public Safety In The Parks Begins June 20

As an effort to make better connections with children and parents in the area, the Golden Valley Police and Fire Departments will make stops at parks around the city during the summer for an afternoon or evening of fun.

Beginning June 20 at Gearty Park, police and firefighters will visit a different City park each week and spend time with the children from the neighborhood. On hot days, the firetruck becomes the source of a gigantic sprinkler to help the kids cool down! This year, the program is offering evening times for parents to get in on the fun.
