Douglas Dr Set To Close June 17 For Railroad Construction

The Union Pacific railroad crossing on Douglas Dr south of Golden Valley Rd is scheduled for replacement beginning June 17 and will cause a closure of Douglas Dr.

The week-long closure beginning next week, between the Frontage Rd and Golden Valley Rd, will allow driveway access to businesses within the closure area, as well as to the Luce Line Trail entrance immediately south of the railroad crossing.

The sidewalk and trail will be closed at the railroad crossing. People walking and biking will need to use alternate routes to get around the closure. Once the railroad crossing work is complete, the sidewalk and trail will be usable by people biking and walking.

Staying Safe

It is important to follow reduced posted speed limits and detour signs to help you navigate through the work zone.

Traffic changes, construction crews, and work zones near the roadway will demand extra attention from road users, so allow extra time to reach destinations in the area.
