City Welcomes Six BrookLynk Interns

As part of its Pathways To Public Service program, the City of Golden Valley is partnering with BrookLynk in an effort to introduce young people to career opportunities in public employment. This summer, six young adults will each work a 10-week internship in various City departments.

BrookLynk Interns 2019

City staff members welcomed six summer interns this week with an informal lunch at Brookview’s Three One Six Bar + Grill.

BrookLynk is a youth employment program directed by the Cities of Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park to coordinate partnerships that prepare employers to engage the next generation of workers.

It also connects young people facing barriers to employment with the skills, experience, and professional social networks needed to develop their pathways to college and career.
