Council Chambers To Be Remodeled In 2020

The Golden Valley City Council Chambers will be updated in the first quarter of 2020 to improve the audio-visual (AV) technology and provide a more contemporary layout to better serve the community during public meetings.

The goals of the project are to increase clear communication, enhance public comfort and meeting efficiency, and present a transparent and constituent focused environment for civic business.

Upgrades will include more flexibility for room configurations, HD broadcasting capabilities, and integration of improved sightlines, sound, and lighting.

The current City Council Chambers was last remodeled in 1989 and has only had AV upgrades twice since then.

Construction is scheduled to start in January 2020 and conclude in late spring. Watch for more information later this year.
