Ballfield Improvements Coming To Wesley And Lions Parks July 29

The Ballfield Improvement Project will begin next week at Wesley Park and Lions Park. Work will also be conducted on the Schaper Park ballfields but will not beginĀ until league play concludes in October.

New dugouts will be constructed of chain link fencing on Ballfields #2 and #3 at Lions Park and Ballfields #1, #2, and #3 at Wesley Park. New forest green dugout roofs will also be installed along with concrete dugout bases, aluminum benches, and helmet and bat racks. Additional fencing will be added to each field to eliminate overthrows from going out of the field area and into parking lots and other park amenities.

All scheduled fall recreation activities will take place as usual at Lions and Wesley Park and will not be affected by the project.

For more information on the projects, contact the City’s Parks and Recreation Department at 763-512-2345.
